Formed at the 1995 Norfolk Chamber Music Festival the Quartet has gone on to win numerous prestigious awards including top prize at the 2000 Music Competition of the ARD in Munich, the 1999 Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the 1998 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. International concerts include a debut at Wigmore Hall as well as concerts in France and Germany. The quartet is in residence at Northern Illinois University, a position formerly occupied by the distinguished Vermeer Quartet. As a part of their residency, they perform four programs annually in DeKalb and Chicago, and the members teach individual studios and coach chamber music at the school. This follows previous residencies at the Juilliard School and at Indiana University South Bend.
The quartet is a regular guest at major music festivals, most notably Interlochen and Music Mountain and in 2008-09 presents concerts in New York, Los Angeles and other music capitals.
